Tinubu Softly Softly!
Former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in far away Chicago went back memory lane in the pro-democracy struggle and concluded that the time has come for a third and final phase of the pro-democracy struggle to free Nigeria from visionless leadership. Speaking at the Eko Club International Covention
which held at the Chicago Marriot Hotel, USA, Asiwaju Tinubu, was his old fiery self. “Nigeria for too long has remained in the strangulating hold of visionless and inept leaders and for the sake of ourselves and our children yet unborn, it is time to take our country back”. Asiwaju Tinubu went on to launch CODER officially in the USA. CODER-Coalition for Electoral Reforms and he tasked all Nigerians especially those in the diaspora to join in this new struggle so that someday they can come home to a country they can be proud of. Asiwaju Tinubu described the new CODER as the answer to the present leadership decadence and electoral robbery and compared it to NADECO. “NADECO played a pivotal role in the return of democracy. This time, CODER will play lead the way for electoral reforms and credible election”. Tunji Bello, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, Dele Alake also
spoke about CODER. Dr. Muyiwa announced the new CODER web-site and urged Nigerians to visit the web-site and participate in the ongoing drive. Tinubu’s shout out to the prodemocracy troops though instructive might push him further to the edge if the powers that be become too uncomfortable with his already huge faithful political army.
